ready for marshmallow

Everyone knows that first priority on making camp is to find the perfect marshmallow stick, even the baby. Of course, nobody had told Orlando about the fire ban >_< Oh well, at least we had confirmation right from the get-go that young Master O is a natural camper.

Happy 30th Birthday, Aurelia! toot!

I have a vague recollection of my mother, on her 30th birthday, receiving a card with a cartoon Amerindian on it, sending smoke signals over some hills, + saying “You 29?” . . . inside was just the indian packing up laughing, I think. I didn’t get it (+ I may just be making up the over-the-hill visual). . . I don’t think my mom was very happy about turning 30. . . but I can’t say that’s the case here, eh Spring Chook? :D We have had some wild times, but I think this past year we have really gotten in the deep end – that little mans won’t take his nap, he just wants to practice his rolling-around ablyes :nekopan:

We are gonna have some real fun, so best grab your party shoes!
(I’ll post pics after sobering up etc)

Max Dupain eat your heart out

Max Dupain, eat your heart out!

Last day of 2007 was hot. We went for a swim close to sunset, Orlando perfecting his ‘Giant Splash’ technique for bathtime; not much longer + the flailing will be swimming. . . Then Nanna Robyn joined us on the beach to watch the fireworks over the jetty. There were so many kids down there, it was great! O made sure to join in all the squealing, + I’m positive he was taking notes on all the running around going on. Here’s to a wild upcoming year! @_@”
