Tonight we enter: the year of the dog. Here are some random pictures of us that I took during a storm power outage sometime last winter. Enjoy. :woof:

INNES, AT LAST

Sunday, January 15th, 2006

We were all very excited about the prospect of four days at Innes National Park, staying in a restored historic cabin in the Innes Township. The ultimate evidence of our excitement was D and my inability to “hold our jizz” in the days leading up to Christmas – blurting out gibberish such as “when we go camping…” and “while we’re at Innes…” on an almost daily basis. Dear kind-hearted James pretended to be deaf on each occasion.

In the not-so early morning of Proclamation Day (aka Boxing Day) we loaded up the Been with food, water, sunscreen and bug juice and arranged ourselves inside our compact space-rocket, hoping for an experience to rival our last camping adventure to Innes, minus the fisherravers please and thank you. Sharing out the responsibility for a good time equally – an even four way split – we grabbed some coffee from edge delicatessen and blasted out of town.

Adelaide Treasure Map

Tuesday, January 10th, 2006

Adelaide, Australia has a misguided reputation as a sleepy place with not much to do. Truthfully, Adelaide is a city full of secrets – there’s lots of fun things to do (and eat!), but you have to be a local to know about them. Now that Boo and I have been living here for two years we think we’ve found some of Adelaide’s best treasures, so we have decided to share our Treasure Map of Adelaide and Surrounds on the Internet.

Being Foodies and (mostly) Vegetarian we imagine that most of the entries will revolve aound places to find tasty smackerels of something. We hope it’s helpful to any of the adventurous souls wandering into this enigmatic town.

For those of you who aren’t living anywhere near Adelaide, perhaps this will be a little incentive for you to come and visit :)
