b gallery

Major overhaul of the B Gallery underway – it hadn’t been touched since we added an O!

Please have a poke at the work-in-progress; the 2010+ Alters Gallery in particular contains a ton of previously un-nk.o’d work, representing my continuing foray into the eraser hell of altering magical cards. Also brand new is the sole entry for 2011 Alice in Wonderland, an abstract thrown together in a desperate attempt to escape the shackled feeling I’d accumulated while working on impossibly tiny canvases x_x

The rest of it is still bumpy, especially around the 2007-2009 range, which currently just points back to the lazy wordpress entries that were all I could be bothered with since adding that O.

It’ll get there.

Gone Fishin’

Green Grobot

It is with great pleasure + mild relief that I present the epic finale to the mt.Grobot series. Our last look in on our metallic hero finds him enjoying a moment of well-earned respite in the local watering hole as dusk graces the crumbling ruins of some long-forgotten civilization, upon which Our Benevolent Goddess casts down a gentle rain. Of course, these waters run deep, + you never know what you’re going to catch. . . shout out to phodos + the mtgrobot crew for being absolutely sillybuggers + inspiring this lot.

Holdfast Summer

Holdfast:Summer thumb

Taking a break from robots to do a little landscaping – Holdfast Bay as seen from the Brighton Esplanade (note the Norfolk Island Pines hovering suspiciously along the shoreline to the right). Late afternoon swims are a welcome treat on hot summer days, well worth the risk of going blind when facing west + burning your feet on the sand. Grobot IV

Resurrection thumbAfter a brief but traumatic lobotomy incident, our mechanical friend finds a new lease on life channeling The Light in aide of a group of magically-inclined adventurers he’s joined (consisting of a white witch, a sorcerer, and an anthropomorphic squid biochemist/illusionist) as they stumble upon exotic lands and distant planes of existance via the sickeningly-sweet yet strangely compelling Lolliportal.
